Gather your people, O God, here in this time and this place.
As we wait, as we hope, as we long for your coming, O God.

Living Word, you remind us that our words matter. May we speak peacemakers’ words today – and in speaking, transform our conversations so that they accomplish your purpose. Amen.
Jesus continued this subject with his disciples. “Don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes in your cupboard are in fashion. There is far more to your inner life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the ravens, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, carefree in the care of God. And you count far more”.
God cares for all the animals in the world but God calls us, as well, to be stewards of creation. It can be a chore in the cold and wet to go out to top up a bird feeder or to express our care for God’s world in another way, but in our caring we share with God in showing love for the world that God created.
… for those who work in caring for the environment.
Feed the birds. Maybe make a fat ball (see recipe on the internet).
We sign ourselves with the sign of our faith as we pray:
May God, Creator, bless us.
May God, Redeemer, heal us.
May the Holy Spirit enlighten us and give us all we need.
Amen.
Ready the way, ready the way, ready the way of the Lord.
Ready the way, ready the way, ready the way of the Lord.
