We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we stand and their living culture. We pay our respects to them for their care of the land and pay tribute to the unique role they play in the life of this region. May we walk gently and respectfully upon the land.
Speak Lord, I am listening.
Let your Word be done unto me.
May it find a home in me.
Speak Lord, I am listening.
Let your Word be done unto me.
May it find a home in me.

Jesus continued, “It’s this I-know-better-than-you mentality again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your own part. How about this plan of action. Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will be able to see clearly to remove the splinter in your bother or sister’s eye.”
No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when fully trained, every disciple will be like their teacher. (Luke 6: 40) When you think of a favourite teacher, you might think of someone who is kind, patient, loving and attentive. Who else do you know like this? Of course, it’s Jesus! Like every good teacher, Jesus wants to help us learn things that are challenging or confusing at first. When you are confused about anything, whether it’s at school, home, church or anywhere, don’t be discouraged! Remember that God has created you to know, love and serve in your own unique way. So give yourself time to learn at your own pace. However, ask for help when you need it. Most of all, be patient with yourself, just as Jesus is.
Jesus, help us be patient with everyone, especially ourselves. Amen.

Loving God, let us go with determination into our day, honouring our calling as the people of God. May our tears be turned to joy, our anxious fears be transformed into wise courage as we live in faith with God the Loving Parent, Christ the Human One and the Passionate Holy Spirit. Amen.

Come on let’s go out to all of the earth,
so every nation, every people hear God’s Word.
Let’s go in peace to love and serve the Lord,
and be the face of God, the love of God to all.
