(Matthew 15 : 12 – 14)

Later his disciples came and told him, “Did you know how upset the Pharisees were when they heard what you said?” Jesus shrugged it off. “Every plant that God in heaven has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Ignore them – they are blind people leading other blind people. And when the blind lead the blind, they all will fall into a ditch”.

Primary Daily Prayer

Have you ever heard the phrase, “If your friend jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?” There are good friends and bad ones. There are friends who want the best for us and others who can lead us into trouble. It can sometimes seem easier to just follow along with someone who’s doing something we know is wrong. But God asks us to find the people who will challenge us to do what’s right.

Faithful God, help me find good and true friends. Amen.

Secondary Daily Prayer

Patient God, that I may treat others as I would like them to treat me. That I may forgive others as I would like them to forgive me. That I may encourage and compliment others in the same way that I would like them to encourage me. That I may see the love in others what I would like them to see and love in me. These things I ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please help me …

Staff Daily Prayer

God meets us in our greatest need and satisfies us with divine presence and provision. In gratitude, let us worship the Lord our God.

Life-changing God, you have touched us and transformed us to reach out to all who hunger for what only you can give. Keep our feet in your paths and bless us to multiply blessings to others, through Jesus Christ our Redeemer and brother. Amen.

Touched, changed, called, empowered – go now in the power and provision of Christ to heal the sick, feed the hungry, and serve the world.

Today I will …
Please help me …
